Deception at its finest
A mask hiding one’s face to blindness
To not show its true colors
To hide your true nature from others
To be someone your not
Because deep inside you know that everything you told them is nothing you got
That maybe your not the hot shot
That you have always thought
You were
That you had to hide a part of you so you could be sure
That they would not judge
That they would not have a grudge
Because your so scared of rejection
That forces deception
As a weapon to get what you want
To know that you got away with that stunt
But in the end we are nothing but a broken down mask
That eventually someone is going to question and ask
If those are your true colors
If you are real and don’t use others
As a tool
And make them feel like they were a fool
Just because you couldn’t be yourself and had to be cool
But true friends don’t want a mask or have to question and ask
They want honesty
Which has always been the best policy
And to be real
So take off that mask and tell them how you feel
That you are the real deal
