If we are all the same
Than why am I not just called by my name?
Why is it so easy to judge?
To not let go of something, to hold a grudge
Why can’t we accept people for who they are?
Instead of trying to change what they are?
Suddenly they are not a name but an object
Something disposable, brainless, without logic
Yet with all this hate, God still loves us
He doesn’t care if we are rich or poor
He still loves us the same
Doesn’t matter if we are white, black, or brown
He still loves us the same
Doesn’t matter if you pray everyday and read your bible or if you are a drug addict, a thief, even a murderer
He still loves us the same
I know this is hard to comprehend
But God is the only one who can judge, yet he chooses to mend
He even loves the gays, the transsexuals, the adulterers
Because in God’s eyes we are all the same
We are his children
So for you to judge someone is to also insult a part of his creation
So why is it so easy for us to cast a stone?
As Jesus said to the Pharisees, “he who is without sin can cast the first stone’?”
Have we still not learned all these years
That it’s not about traditions or rules
That God never asked us to defend him
He created the world so why would he need you to defend him
What he wants is for us to love everyone unconditionally
Not just your friends and family but neighbors, even your enemies
A church without love is not a church at all
Because we are the same
So stop it
Seriously stop it
Look around, look at every individual you see
Don’t look at their flaws but at the image that God created them
In the end it’s love that matters
It’s the answer to everything, so simple, yet one of the hardest things to do
So stop preaching
And start doing
So let’s put our differences aside and join together for a similar cause
To love everyone unconditionally
To change the world
Let me hear you say, “I love you, as a person, as a friend, as a child of God”
“You are amazing, you are worthy, you are beautiful…. We are all the same”
That’s all I have to say…
