When you spend valuable time with me

My partner

When you took part of my imaginary world

Legos and G.I. Joes

My goofy dad

That would make me giggle and laugh

Can’t forget the dad jokes

That you were there for me

You were present

You were a big part of my life

From the first sight I was born

From the first time you carried me

From the first time you heard my first word

From the first time you saw me walk

From the first time I went to school

From the first time I encountered Jesus

From all the times you were there for me

You did it because you love me

You love your children more than anything in this world

That you carry the same hope and love that our Father in heaven carries

How much more is our Father in Heaven

Who provides all things

Who loves all the children of this world

He is the anchor of hope

He is our foundation

Our rock

Our Dad

Like Father Like Son

He created us in His own image

He taught us how to be men

How to be fathers

How to serve our family

How to be a father to the fatherless

So we honor our fathers
