A place of security
A place where I am free
A place to hide
A place where I can believe
A place of hope
A place of no fears
A place of joy
A place to hide those tears
But it’s also a place that holds us back
A place to hide from your fears
That if you just let God be your hiding place
He will help you face those fears
That the monsters won’t get you
That the light will shine brighter
Because God is my shelter
My rock
My peace
My hiding place
A place where I can believe

There is hate
There are people who want to debate
They want to push us down
And treat us like a clown
Like we are a city rat
But you’re better than that
Because when they hate we love
When they look down we look above
Just because they do it doesn’t mean we have to do it too
So instead let them question what we do
Because life is more than just having a well known name
It’s more than games and fame
It’s being there when they need us the most
When we welcome them like we’re a host
Because it’s not all about you
But what you can do
For others
For our sisters and brothers
Always love
No matter how many put you down, because you have a God who lives above

I become so numb
Like a beating drum
I’m told to be more like you
Have no say on what to do
But nothing can change the way I am
So I listen to this jam
To escape from the madness
To hold tears from all this sadness
Not sure if I can handle it
I’m an alien from a different planet
I just want to feel
To know this is real
That I’m not numb
That I can feel the beat of the drum

The sky is bright
Every star in the night
Every star has a meaning
Every night I am dreaming
That life is like a shooting star
It travels fast and far
So I’m going to make a wish right now

Not a fancy dish

Than why is it just a few
Maybe it’s just my patience

For I am the craftsman

Shivers of death
Feeling numb
Heart beats like a drum
Longing for heat
No feeling on my feet
Cold wind blowing
Outside snowing
Chattering my teeth
Wearing layers beneath
Warming up by the fire
Feel damp, need to get dryer
Am I getting old
Or is it just the cold

Don’t let the world tear you down
Because no matter what people say, God is the one who wears the crown
He knows your worth
He’s the one who gave you life, he’s reason of your birth
So don’t let someone’s words become venom to your ears
Don’t let someone’s action bring you tears
Because God uses those who are broken
Shows us a new way, a new chapter, a door about to be opened
Because you are worth everything
And you are capable of anything
You are special and unique
So don’t listen to everyone’s critique
But learn, forgive, and forget
And follow your dreams and path that you have set
