Why is it that sometimes I know I have everything
Yet I feel like I have nothing
Nothing but emptiness inside
That sooner or later there will be nothing to hide
That I feel so alone
That I wish my love could be shown
That I wish I could feel the warmth of someone nearby
That I hate having to say goodbye
That I’ve lost connection
That all I want is that affection
To feel loved
Instead of being shoved
And pushed away
That I begin to stray
But even in a big world we have a voice
And a choice
Should we choose the path of loneliness
Or choose the path of happiness
That if we have someone by our side
We will never have something to hide

Men of Steel
Cling
Is what makes our ear drums ring
Crack
Is what makes this stone fall back
Click
Is what makes us see from what is real to what is a trick
Ignite
Is what keeps us up all night
Drips
Is sweat that we earned not tips
Faces
Are photos in our mind that gets us through hard places
Dust
Is glory that we inhale beneath this crust
Goal
Is what we work for no matter the toll
Treasure
Is the final product earned not something we can measure
Steel
Is what we are, not fake but real
We are the men of steel
Grandma’s Last Goodbye (Dedicated to my Grandma)
Oh how life feels like it goes by so fast
But with age you start to wonder how long will this last
Unfortunately life always meets at an end
The last page is turned but a new chapter is about to unbend
To the lives of those who descend
From the lady who always had a message to send
It’s sad to know that my grandma is gone
But being sad is something I should not dwell on
Because I know in heaven she is rejoicing and singing songs
Heaven is where she belongs
Where she is free from any pain
Free from these earthly chains
That I am so grateful for the time she was here
That I miss her so much I would shed more than just one tear
That all I have left are memories of her past years
To be able to hear her last goodbye
That I still can feel that she is nearby
That we will meet again
In the heavens where we ascend
You Got A Friend In Me
If you got a friend in me
Then friends we shall be
But first what is a friend?
And where did it descend?
A friend is someone you trust
Who’s not just a yes but a must
Someone that you can talk to
That will help you get through
The hard times when you’ve lost track
Who always has your back
Who knows who you are
Who doesn’t care if your broke or have a car
Who is real
Not just someone who’s trying to make a deal
Friends are the ones who encourage us in life
Who are the ones that make us strive
The ones who really matter to us
Who would be by our side and not even flinch to make a fuss
Good friends are forever
Who are the last to say never
Because I’ve got a friend in me
Who will never flee
Who will always see
The real me
The Unwanted Book
A wrinkled up beat up torn book laid upon a table at a bookstore
No one would even notice if it slipped and disappeared onto the hard dark floor
Burnt edges of this mysterious book was shown
It’s story and words were unknown
For no one had read this book for it was alone
Almost as dead as a dried up bone
It’s title imprinted was quite small
It just waited quietly for its call
But then one day a curious boy gazed at this beat up book with wonder
The store keeper looked at the kid as if he made a blunder
The little boy picked up the book and asked, “Why is this book called the unwanted book? ”
The store keeper just smiled and said, “Because the book feels unwanted, not even one person has cared to take a look. ”
“But sir why does no one care to read this book? ”
“Because they judge this book by its cover and it’s torn up pages.
It seems as though no one had read this for ages. ”
“But sir the book is perfect and shiny and light. ”
“That is because you believe there is more then what lies from its site. ”
The kid gave a bright smile and asked one last question, “How much does this book cost?”
“It doesn’t have a specific cost. It’s value is on what you believe it cost. ”
At first the kid looked at him as though he was lost but then he rummaged through his pockets and found his only gold coin.
“This is all I have is this gold coin. ”
The store keeper just smiled again and said, “This book has quite a history and there is much more this book has to offer. I promise you that.”
The young boy grabbed his book and ran out of the store so fast that he almost dropped his hat.
He opened the first page and what fell out was something of amaze.
Gold coins fell from the book to the ground and all the boy could do is jump for praise.
I guess the lesson for today is to not judge a book by its cover
Because you’ll never know what you might discover
The Good Die Young
Why do the good die young?
It’s almost as though someone has punctured me in the lung
And I gasp for air
Not having a care
Of what is around me
Because I’ve just lost a brother in the deep blue sea
He was young and brave
I wish I was superman and have him be the one I could save
But I know he is in a better place
Where there is love and grace
I hope to see you some day
My heart is towards your family everyday
And though I pray
That there’s a beach in heaven like San Diego Bay
Where we can laugh and stay
You will be missed
And you will be our number one on the list
For the good die young
Liar Liar Pants On Fire
Liar liar pants on fire
All this guilt that we inquire
Trying to hide what we wish we did not take
Every word is like venom from a venomous snake
First we get the chills
Then a force of adrenaline gives us the thrills
But sadly in the end we wish that we had brought those pills
There’s no turning back
The venom has already spread to the point that our skin is turning black
All the lies that we spread
May hunt us till the day that we are dead
Why is it that we lie to the ones that love us the most
It’s almost as though we treat them as they were a ghost
We are so desperate that we need to get this venom out of our blood
Before we are swallowed up by this flood
We just wanted a little more appreciation
So we fall for our temptation
And went out of our way to hurt someone with this infection
That we have almost lost our connection
We just need a dissection
We need to let everything out and come clean
That every word that comes out of our mouth will have a mean
Because when your words become fire
You will always be a big fat liar
The Breakup
Delete delete
The feeling of defeat
I use to know you’re name
But then we started to blame
Each other for not being the same
Oh what a shame
That you’re memories are flushed down the drain
To the point that my mind is going insane
Forget forget
The plans that we set
I wish I could dissect
The parts of us that we wished we did not inject
So why cant I think
I cant even blink
My stomach starts to sink
Because a part of me feels that we are still linked
Lost lost
Doesn’t matter the cost
I wish I could bring you back
So we can finally get on track
Your like a missing diamond that I wish I could find
But my eyes are blind
That I’ve lost my mind
That my heart becomes sour as a lime
And I don’t have much time
Just give me a sign
Then suddenly I see you and finally my heart knows that you were meant to be mine
The Deceitful Door
War war
The definition of gore
A colloseum filled with hungry lions about to roar
Youre just an innocent boy curious to explore
Not knowing what is really behind that door
Once your in, there’s no turning back from this horror
Now you took an oath and there’s no way to take back on what you swore
It’s like D-Day of bodies falling down on the shore
Your body is shaking that you start crying on the floor
Doesn’t matter how much money you are given; you will still feel poor
You open a drawerr
Pull out a gun telling yourself that you don’t want to deal with this anymore
Before you can pull the trigger; something tells you that life is much more
That our life is like an apple core
It’s the part that we don’t want but end up consuming it more
All the parts of us that we deplore
But there is always hope that we can restore
Our life back on what we use to be before
Before we walked through that door
Aware Sound
Bung! Bung! What is that ring? That makes you jump and sing, that goes ding a ling, bitty bung, it’s that bell, it’s that bell.
Tic toc! Tic toc! What is that tic? That goes clickity click, that makes you sick, tickity tic, it’s that clock, it’s that clock.
Ding dong! Ding Dong! What is that beat? That makes you get out of your seat, and makes you get on your feet, didi dong, it’s that door bell, it’s that door bell.
