I rest in You O’Lord

Your peace transcends all understanding

Your love endures forever

Your goodness gives life

Your faithfulness gives hope

Let me rest in You O’Lord

To be part of something more

To encounter Jesus like I have never done before

A Spirit of understanding

A Spirit of peace

That embodies what God intended for me and you

He never intended us to have stress and work

Out of sin

Came struggles

So we may live everlasting lives

‘O death where is your victory?

Where is your sting?’

And on the seventh day God rested

Is to be in Your Presence

Not just my body but my soul and spirit

For my Friends

For life itself

For its beauty

I am in awe

Of Your Glory

Of Your wonders

For Your Passion

For Your Divine Love

I put my trust in You

O’Lord

I put my faith in You

O’Lord

I surrender all to You

O’Lord

I want a relationship with You

O’Lord

I love You

O’Lord

God my Father

My King

My Savior

My Redeemer

All I want is to be in Your Presence

O’Lord

In three days He will Rise

But the first day

He will be mocked and beaten

Suffer for our sins

His chosen people will cast stones on Him

Will persecute Him

Will nail Him on the Cross

And crucify Him

There hanging on the cross is The King of Jews

Even in pain and suffering He gasps for air and says, “Father, Forgive them; for they know not what they do.”

Even in agony He offered them forgiveness

One of the thieves that mocked Him on the Cross had a change of heart

“We are being punished justly. But this man has done nothing wrong.”

“Remember me when you come into your kingdom.”

He answers, “Truly I tell you today, you will be with me in paradise.”

Darkness came into the land until three of the afternoon

The curtain of the temple was torn in two

In His last breath He said, “Father into your hands I commit my spirit.”

With that He gave His last breath

At that moment He died for our sins, not just mine but all of us

His apostles hid out of fear

He was taken from the cross with no broken bones and wrapped in linen and placed in the tomb

The 2nd day was the Sabbath so they rested

The women the 3rd day took spices and perfume to the tomb

But when they arrived, the tomb stone was rolled away and they could not find Him

Suddenly two men in clothes that shined brightly appeared before them

They said, “Why do you look for the living amongst the dead? He is not here; he has risen”

The women went off to tell the eleven apostles and the others

But they did not believe them

Peter ran to the tomb to find it empty

Doubt crossed their mind

Mary Magdalene stood at the tomb crying

She saw two angels in white asking her why are you crying

She says, “If you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.”

He responds, “Mary.”

She turns toward Him and says, “Rabonni.”

Which means teacher

She told the disciples she had seen the Lord

In the evening He appeared in front of the disciples saying, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”

With that He breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”

Thomas wasn’t with the disciples and doubted and had to see for himself

He appeared to Thomas and said, “Put your finger here, see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”

“Because you have seen, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

He appeared again when some of disciples went fishing

Saying, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.”

They did and they were unable to lift the net because of the large number of fish

They instantly knew that was the Messiah

He made them breakfast and told Peter three times, “Simon do you love me.”

Peter responded, “Yes Lord, you know that I love you.”

“Feed my sheep,” He said three times

This hurt Peter because he denied Him three times

He said, “Follow me.”

When He was ready to leave the disciples and His followers raised His hands and blessed them

He was then taken up to heaven and ascended to be with His Father

You may ask who is this Messiah that I highly speak of

His Name is Jesus of Nazareth

Born in a manger in Bethlehem

Was sent to the earth to bring Salvation

To die on the cross for our sins

And has risen

Jesus had risen

What a powerful Name it is

The Name of Jesus

He brought us the Holy Spirit

That lives in us when we accept Him into your life

So stop doubting and start believing

Say this prayer

Dear Jesus

I have sinned and I am a sinner

I ask for Your forgiveness

I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead

I leave my sins away

And accept you into my heart and my life

I want to trust You as my Lord and my Savior

I believe you are the son of God

Jesus Christ

Fill me with the Holy Spirit

Guide me and help me live for You for the rest of my days

Your blood paid for my sins

Thank you for being my Savior

I love You and want a relationship with You

You are now a Christian

He called you to be a disciple

Your new

You are now baptized in the Holy Spirit

God is three in one

God the Father

Jesus Christ the Son

And the Holy Spirit

The divine trinity

God is good

That He gave His only Son for our sins

We have much to be thankful for

So I cry out

He has risen

On the third day

To grow

I must go

To the cross

And ask for forgiveness

For a new start

For a new beginning

And be willing to surrender it all to Him

So that God may build a foundation

To sow a seed

To be baptized by the Holy Spirit

So that God may grow me and mature me

He provides the water and the sun

He provides the nutrients that sustains me

He gives life

His timing is always right

That one day I may bear fruit

But first I must sow my seed in good soil

To plant yourself in a God fearing community

To be planted at a church

Do not sow your seeds on a path of destruction

Where Satan takes away the word that is sown in you

Do not sow your seeds amongst rocky surfaces

Where you receive joy from the word but since you have no root you will only last for a short time

When your persecuted, you quickly fall away

Do not sow your seeds amongst thorns

Where the worries of life and deceitfulness of wealth and desires choke the word

Not allowing you to bear fruit

But when you sow your seeds in good soil

Hear the word, accept it, you will produce fruit

God will make you fruitful and bear much fruit

God will grow your roots deep

So that you may flourish

As you grow

You mature

You see things much differently

You become submissive

And let the Holy Spirit

Be your eyes

To see God’s Glory

Be your ears

To Listen to His Word

Be your mouth

To speak fire

Be your hands

To help the needy

Be your feet

To be grounded

Be your brain

To speak wisdom

Be your heart

To comfort you

He is our body

May the Fruit of the Spirits work as one

May we praise Him and rejoice that we are saved

Pray and obey and praise Him

No matter how many thorns or stones are thrown at you

Forgive so that you may grow

Love so that God’s goodness will show

Thank God the Father for being the Gardner

The Good Shepherd

If you trust Him and follow Him

You will grow

I hold onto this burden

I become bitter

And offended

Why did this happen?

How can I forgive this person?

When they hurt me

When they threw stones at me

When they falsely accused me

When their words broke my heart

I fall down into shambles

Start blaming

Start shaming

Because when I am offended at others

I am truly offended at God

When I love others

I love God

When I forgive

I am forgiven

God loved us so much

That He gave the ultimate offering

The ultimate sacrifice

His Son

Who was slain on the Cross

For our Sins

Jesus never condemned

He never had fault

He forgave

Even though we don’t deserve it

He drew a line on the sand

And said, “Go now and leave your life of sin”

He knows we are better than the life of sin we are living

He doesn’t look at us of what we are now, but of what we can become through Christ Jesus

He has a purpose for us greater than we could possibly imagine

Jesus set a model for me to follow

He taught me how to forgive

So I would like to say I forgive you

I let go of any offense I have towards you

And give it to God

I surrender it all to Him

Forgive

So that you can love

Love

So that you can forgive

And always give Glory to Him

Always come back to Him

And praise Him

So that you may be forgiven

And made whole

Others will say your not the broken man I thought you were

They will not see your scars and brokenness

But they will see your blessings from God

I am a changed man

Because of God’s grace

I am forgiven

Because of God’s mercy

Worthy is the Lamb of God

I give You Praise

I give You Glory

I give it all to You

O’Lord

You gave me Life

Your blood gave Salvation

Not to just me, but to All

Worthy is the Lamb

Your Peace

Your Love

Breathes life in me

Nothing else matters

This flesh is temporary

But my Spirit lasts Forever

So why worry about the flesh

The world views

You are better than this

He knows my plan

He knows my Heart

My Dreams

Because He created me out of His own Image

How much worth do I find the Lamb of God

Who died for my sins

And Rose again and ascended to Heaven

To sit on the right side of the Throne of our Father

Worthy is the Lamb

My Redeemer

My Savior

Glory to the Most High

Your Grace is suffice

It’s all I need

Everything I do is for the Glory of God

You bless me so I may bless others

You pour and overflow my cup

You give abundantly

I am thankful and bow down before You

We are to be eagles

Who are majestic

And free

Soaring high

In the sky

Spreading its wings

Looks forward

Never back

Spots its prey from miles away

Only goes to the ground when needed

Yet we choose to be chickens

Who peck and gossip

Who only look down

And focus on what’s in front of them

Who have terrible vision

And can’t fly

Who run and hide from a storm

Where as eagles fly upward in the eye of the storm

Having no fear

Because when we are eagles we know God is near

That they can look towards the sun and still see

As we need to look towards the son to truly see

Eagles fly with their pack

As brothers and sisters of Christ need to be surrounded by each other

The people you surround yourself with

Will influence the type of person you will become

So surround yourself with God fearing friends

So that you may build each other up

And lift each other when we fall

So I tell you to be careful to not leave the nest

For our nest is the church

Where we recharge by reading the word of God and worship

But we are called to leave the nest and bring others to Christ

That we are to teach others

To fly

So that they may fly forward towards God

Do not be a chicken who run in circles in a chicken coop

Who give up and loose hope

Who put each other down

Who put their focus on people

And worship objects and fame

But rather look into the eye of an eagle

That looks beyond what is in front of them

That lifts others up

So they may see the light of the glory of God

Who seek God

Rather than man

Who Worship and Praise His name

They soar upwards

And fight their battles in the sky

But do not fight your battles on the ground

Because you were meant for the sky

Because God called you to be like eagles

Dear God

I’m in awe of Your glory

I praise Your name

The most high

I tremble in Your presence

Holy is Your name

Our Father

Our Creator

Our King

Our Lamb

Our Savior

Our Redeemer

You sent Your only Son

To die on the cross

For our sins

So that we may live in righteousness

While we conspired

And crucified You

You inspired

And purified me

And rose again

So that we may be free

So I thank You O’Lord

For giving me a second chance

For giving us the Holy Spirit

That breathes in us

That fills us with joy and peace

With love and endurance

God you are good

You are my stronghold

My fortress

My Divine Priest

I long for your presence

As You long for our relationship

By giving us the Word

So that Your truth will set me free

And give us understanding

By giving us free will

So that we may choose You

So I give

O’Lord

Our Father in Heaven

Our Savior Jesus

Holy Spirit

For being so good to us

I fear

I fear rejection

Confrontation

Loss

Failure

Relapse

Addiction

Loneliness

Brokenness

Disease

Pain

Death

A lie

That I allow myself to believe

From moving on

That holds me back

From allowing God to move me

To work through me

‘For the spirit of fear is not from God’

But from the serpent

That binds us into a trap

But do not fear

‘Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death

I will fear no evil

For you are with me’

So don’t let fear hold you back

Because God knows your potential

And will help you overcome any obstacles

He will give us courage

And strength

And peace

Fear only God

His judgment

So that you may show Him respect

So that you may have greater understanding

For you have Authority over fear

So I Declare today that I will not let fear control me

Fear is not the master of me

Fear begone out of my life

You are not welcomed here

‘I will fear no evil

Because you are with me’

Oh dear God

I have thirst

I have hunger

My throat dry

Gasp for air

Stomach grumbles

It yearns for you

Searches for purpose

Wanting a taste of your living water

A well that never dries

That is everlasting

That flows like milk and honey

Jesus

The Samaritan

Draws water from the well

“With this water you will be thirsty

But if you drink the water I give you

You will never have thirst”

So please God

Give me this living water

So that I may never have thirst

That I may live in Christ

And never grow weary

That I may have eternal life

My heart sinks

When the living water touches my soul
