I am Not Ashamed

(Who He Says I am Poem Series)

I am Not Ashamed

Why would I be ashamed

Of His Name

The One who transformed me

The One who spoke life into me

The One who truly knows me

The One who gave breath into my lungs and created me

The One who speaks to me

The One who seeks me

The One who gave me a new name

Why would I be ashamed

Of the Gospel

The very essence of His truth

The very presence of His Name

The power of His Blood

The power of His Love

The power of the Cross

The power of His Resurrection

The power of the Dove

The power of the Holy Spirit

The power of a transformed heart

The power of thanksgiving

The power of healing

The power of being set free

The power of Salvation

The power that sustains me

It’s a powerful Name

And His Name is Jesus

How can I be the Same

When I no longer carry this shame

When the Word of God is living in me

When His heart beats, my heart beats also

When I know who I am

When I’ve experienced His tangible love

When He comforted me when I was lonely

When He gave me courage when I was afraid

When He whispered to me that He is near

When He gave me strength when I was weak

When He gave me hope when I was about to give up

When He gave me grace to empower me

When His kindness melted my fear away

When His mercy brought me closer

When His love embraced me

When He brought me out of the darkness and into His light

So how can I be ashamed

To carry His Name

When He is the best thing that could of ever happened to me

Saved, HEALED, Delivered, & Sanctified

(Who He Says I am Poem Series)

SAVED, HEALED, DELIVERED

SANCTIFIED

I’m whole

For I have been saved

I am new

No more delays

I receive

His Invitation

I Proclaim His Declarations

By His Blood

I am Saved

By His Love

I am Healed

By His Name

I am Delivered

By His Goodness

I am Sanctified

I’m a child of God

New identity

No longer broken

For I am healed

I give full permission

For Jesus to invade

Every crevice and every crack

Needs to be filled by you

No longer will I allow

The enemy to come in

So I shut the door

In Jesus Name

I give the keys to my house

To Jesus

So when the enemy knocks

Jesus will answer

By His Cross

I am saved

By His Stripes

I am Healed

By His Freedom

I am Delivered

By His Mercy

I am Sanctified

I’m Free

No longer tormented

I’m Free

No longer held back

I’m Free

No longer in bondage

I’m Free

No longer living in shame

I’m Free

No longer seeking approval

I’m Free

No longer

No longer

No longer

No longer

Will I have to carry this

I am Free

For I have been Delivered

By His Grace

I am Saved

By His Hope

I am Healed

By His Peace

I am Delivered

By His Redemption

I am Sanctified

I’m Redeemed

I see more Clearly

I have a Voice

For I have been Sanctified

I’m Bold

Because I know my Identity

In Christ

I now Carry

His Authority

Because I am under

 His Authority

So I speak the Name

That’s above every other Name

The Name of Jesus

Over every circumstance in my life

Over every obstacle in my life

Over sickness and disease

Over bondage and torment

Over lies and agreements

Over discouragement and accusations

I speak the Name of Jesus

For I am

Saved

Healed

Delivered

And

Sanctified

Hurt People

(Who He Says I am Poem Series)

Hurt People

Why do I feel hurt?

Why do I hurt?

Why do I hurt those closest to me?

Why am I in pain?

Is this even real?

I lose control

I don’t know how to let go

I procrastinate

I give up

I guess I’ll watch this

I guess I’ll do this

I guess I’ll numb this

Before I know it I become this

This monster

The very thing I feared

I have now become

I’m in denial

There’s no way I could of done this

Why would I do this

How could I be so stupid

Might as well blame

Might as well shame

Is this just a game

I just want to wake up

From this slumber

Hoping it was just a dream

But I pinch myself

Oh God this is real

Is this really happening

If only I wasn’t hurt

If only I listened

If only I had control

Why am I selfish?

Why do I speak so much hate over myself?

I’m broken

I don’t know what to do

I need help

God forgive me

I can’t do this alone

Please don’t give up on me

I promise

So many empty promises

But I promise this time

I will change

I messed up

I’m scared

I don’t want to relapse

I want to be strong

I want to be courageous

I want to be free

I’m tired of being tormented

Get out of my head

Leave me alone

Why am I my worst enemy?

I need peace

I need hope

Because I’m on my last rope

I don’t know where else to go

But to you God

If only you knew

Yet you do

If only you were there

Yet you were

If only you helped me

Yet help is here

If you only you could forgive

It is already done

If only you could heal this heart

Yet I’m healed

I can’t lose these scars

But I can learn from them

I can’t change back time

But I can change my future

I may never understand why someone hurt me

But I can stop hurting others

I can break the cycle

I can become the man I’ve always wanted to become

It may take time

It may be hard

It may cost everything

It may bring back old memories

But for the first in my life

I’m not going to do this on my own

I have people that count on me

I have people that believe in me

I have people who trust me

I have people who love me

I have people who know me

I don’t have to share this burden alone

There is even hope and redemption for someone like me

Encounter

(Who He Says I am Poem Series)

Encounter

I will never forget

The moment We met

The moment You set Your eyes on me

I couldn’t look away

How could I?

Your eyes pierced through the darkness

It brought me closer

Closer to You

And into Your Light

Not realizing what I was encountering

Can this be real

Are you really that good?

Oh yes you are and more

But before I could say anything

You embraced me

Oh the love

The peace

The warmth of Your heart

It comforted me

At my deepest despair

You found me

All I could speak were tears

You held me and told me I would be okay

You spoke me into existence

You told me my identity

The only words of my mouth were Father forgive me

I need You

And I want You

So I gave You my life

Because You gave me Yours

You paid it all on the Cross for my sins

Yet you did it willfully

And with Joy

So my heart is filled with Joy

The Joy of the Lord

How can this be?

That You chose me

In that moment my life was changed forever

It would never be the same

From the One who is above every other name

From just one Encounter of Jesus

Awaken My Children

(Who He Says I am Poem Series)

Awaken My Children

Awaken My children

Are you still asleep?

Are you still not listening?

How long will it take?

For you to obey?

Why do you choose to disobey?

Can’t you see?

The God who sees

Can’t you hear?

The God who speaks

Can’t you speak?

To the God who listens

Don’t you know that you are still asleep

So awaken My child

No time to waste

Awaken My child

Set your worries aside

Awaken My child

Put your mind on Christ

Awaken My child

Fix your eyes on Mine

Awaken My child

Once dead but now alive

Awaken My child

To the morning Son

Wake up

No time to sleep

Wake up

It’s time to shine

My child My child

Time is drawing near

Wake up

For our Salvation is nearer than when we first believed

Awake, O sleeper

Rise up from the dead

And Christ will give you light

Faithful You Are

(Who He Says I am Poem Series)

Faithful You Are

You are Faithful

‘Faithful You are

All Your promises are Yes and Amen’

Even in our troubles

You never let us down

Even in our lack of faith

You never abandoned me

Even when I’m in doubt

You give me grace

Even when I’m drained

You fill me up

Even when I’m broken

You listen to me

Even when I’ve lost hope

You are Faithful,

‘Because Faithfull

You are

All Your promises are

YES and AMEN’

Breaking Bread

(Who He Says I am Poem Series)

Breaking Bread

Oh Lord

I’m here again

Broken

With empty words

But You have spoken

Filling what was empty

And turning it into something plenty

Oh Lord

My God

You are near

Even when I fear

Your grace surrounds me

Even when I mess up

I am loved

My heart is broken

But You have spoken

That I will rejoice in You

Oh Lord

My God

My King

You dwell in the Highest places

Yet You lower Yourself in the lowest places

To give a reaching hand

Even when I fall

I am not out of reach

Even when I sin

I am made clean

Even when I am broken

I am made whole

The Lord has spoken

Oh Lord

My God

My King

My Best Friend

For I am not alone

For You are with me

When I walk

You walk with me

When I sit

You sit with me

You prepare a table for me

A feast

You break bread

And give thanks

Whatever you break

Multiplies

Whatever you say

Happens

You restored what was broken

From the words… You have spoken

Way Maker

God Your a Way Maker

Miracle worker

Promise Keeper

The goodness of Your Heart

The fire that lights up the night

The heart that never stops

That’s who You are

You move mountains

Outpour rivers that are dry

You catch every tear

Cast any fear

Catch us when we fall

Minister to our call

That’s who You are

Your miracles are never ending

Your love is overwhelming

Your waters heal

Your Presence is real

It brings life

It binds the broken

And shuts the misspoken

For the truthful lips shall be established forever

That the righteous will not despair

But be clothed in garments of salvation

For Your Kingdom is here

Grace is near

It’s calling your name

Hear My Voice

‘I have come to set the captives free’

To cast darkness out

To walk in authority

To experience My miracles

So you may see the blind see

The deaf hear

The mute talk

And the lame walk

For you are covered by grace

From any trials you face

Stand firm knowing who He is

And what He has done

Because you are miracle

A miracle that lights up the night

We are the fireflies of the night

Glowing

Growing

Showing who You are

Take Heart

Take heart

In the waiting

Be strong

There is hope

Receive the courage

That you’ve been waiting

Experience the purpose

That He is unveiling

See the mysteries

He is unraveling

Longing for the destiny

He is fulfilling

Hear His voice

He is moving

In His word

There is freedom

In His heart

There is comfort

In His hands

There is healing

In His songs

There is worship

In His righteousness

There is praise

In His cup

There is an overflow

In His goodness

There is strength

In His Holiness

There is purity

In His riches

There is an inheritance

So take courage

Take comfort

Take heart

In the waiting

And receive His everlasting joy

Crown of Life

Hallelujah

Praise the Lord

For He is good

He is so good to us

His kindness

His mercy

His love

Is unfathomable

His grace

Is neverending

He knows

He knows

My heart

He knows what I’m facing

He knows my pain

He knows my struggles

He is there

He is there in the midst of my troubles

In the midst of a storm

And He will rebuke the wind and the waves

And Jesus will say ‘Peace, be still’

And the wind ceased and there was a great calm

Only Jesus can calm the waters

Only He can bring you peace

Even in the midst of your trails

He is the hope that cannot be shaken

`Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him’

We will receive the crown of life

We will receive a double portion instead of shame

We will receive in our inheritance instead of disgrace

We will receive a double portion in our land

And everlasting joy will be ours

We will be a display of His splendor

We will be planted

We will be crowned

For we are royalty

We inherit His promises

His Yes and Amen

We are His children

And our Father in Heaven

Watches out for His children

Waiting for us to receive His love

His promises

Our inheritance

Our destiny
