Home

A warm cozy room dignifies my home
It’s not just a place for me to be with others or just alone
Doesn’t mean it’s a place where you grew up
Not just a place for you to relax and drink hot cocoa from your special coffee cup
It’s a place where you long to be
A place where there is no one that is holding you back and be free
It’s a place where you feel welcomed and cared about
Where you can jump for joy and shout
Where your not judged by the way you are or use to be
Home is a place where you will never flee
Where you feel loved and respected
A place where you feel protected
Doesn’t matter where you live or the cost of where you live
It’s a place where you long to arrive
So just remember that your not alone
When you have welcome on the doorstep of your home
Welcome to my home

Worth Fighting For

In a time of despair
Is all that it takes for someone to care
For someone to bare
A new meaning in life
To hold once more that beautiful wife
Before life turns into destruction
Before we are lost of words and have no function
Before the life you had has withered away
Before the bodies of those we love start to decay
But when all feels lost
A new hope has come to clean the cost
That when there is darkness there will always be light
That when the day comes when we have to stand and fight
That the wrong will not over power the right
That sorrow will be no more
That are hearts will never be poor
That it will restore
A new beginning
A new kind of living
That in our deepest times there is still hope
That we will never give up until we reach the top of that slope
That good defeats evil
That we are a knight slaying a dragon in a time that is medieval
That nothing can penetrate the hearts of our core
That there is so much good on this earth and that’s worth fighting for

Soldier (Dedicated to the Military)

A man with honor
Knows every second counts or he could be a goner

He’s a man of loyalty
To his brothers past the ocean sea who mean more than a man with royalty

He’s also a man who’s brave
That will put fear a side so that his country will be free and not as a slave

He’s a man of hope
Hope to the ones he loves and puts himself as a safety rope

Because he’s a man of sacrifice
Saving those you love can come with a price

He’s a man of dignity
Not a man that will pity

He’s a man of worth
Because someone on this earth decided to give him birth

He’s not just a man but a soldier
A warrior who’s main goal is to assure that our country is secure
Now that’s what I call a true soldier

Die Hard Or Win Strong

Tick tock
Echoed with agony to those who stared at the clock
Mud sweat and blood dignified a true player
If you went out hard it didn’t matter if you wore more than one layer
You would still feel the pain
Yours hands are all sweaty and it begins to rain
All eyes are focused on the game
Your a wild wolf that is impossible to tame
Time freezes and your conscience takes play
Looking for a strategy that will favor your way
You look up at your team and know where you belong
You either die hard or win strong
To the moment when you give it your all to a certain cause
Every play counts, there is no replay or pause
And that satisfaction when you score that goal
You didn’t want half you wanted the whole
Deal that would make you feel real
This was your lifelong
Dream that you would win strong

Love Comes With Many Colors

Love
One of the greatest feelings of all
Its that moment when we wait for that call
To hear that voice that makes us feel proud and tall
That will lift us up when we fall
It presents itself in many ways
It’s what drives someone with passion for more than just days
It’s a new phase
Of life that we praise
Is something we cannot replace
Something that we will have to face
When life stops at a certain pace
When love wants to embrace
The one we call our lover
That love is more than just one color
Means more than just being there for each other
It has more layers than just a cover
Love will always be there
It will always care
It will be the ring that we bare
It is love that we share
It’s what makes us want each other
Because love comes with many colors

All Alone

Why is it that sometimes I know I have everything
Yet I feel like I have nothing
Nothing but emptiness inside
That sooner or later there will be nothing to hide
That I feel so alone
That I wish my love could be shown
That I wish I could feel the warmth of someone nearby
That I hate having to say goodbye
That I’ve lost connection
That all I want is that affection
To feel loved
Instead of being shoved
And pushed away
That I begin to stray
But even in a big world we have a voice
And a choice
Should we choose the path of loneliness
Or choose the path of happiness
That if we have someone by our side
We will never have something to hide

Men of Steel

Cling
Is what makes our ear drums ring
Crack
Is what makes this stone fall back
Click
Is what makes us see from what is real to what is a trick
Ignite
Is what keeps us up all night
Drips
Is sweat that we earned not tips
Faces
Are photos in our mind that gets us through hard places
Dust
Is glory that we inhale beneath this crust
Goal
Is what we work for no matter the toll
Treasure
Is the final product earned not something we can measure
Steel
Is what we are, not fake but real
We are the men of steel

Grandma’s Last Goodbye (Dedicated to my Grandma)

Oh how life feels like it goes by so fast

But with age you start to wonder how long will this last

Unfortunately life always meets at an end

The last page is turned but a new chapter is about to unbend

To the lives of those who descend

From the lady who always had a message to send

It’s sad to know that my grandma is gone

But being sad is something I should not dwell on

Because I know in heaven she is rejoicing and singing songs

Heaven is where she belongs

Where she is free from any pain

Free from these earthly chains

That I am so grateful for the time she was here

That I miss her so much I would shed more than just one tear

That all I have left are memories of her past years

To be able to hear her last goodbye

That I still can feel that she is nearby

That we will meet again

In the heavens where we ascend

You Got A Friend In Me

If you got a friend in me
Then friends we shall be
But first what is a friend?
And where did it descend?
A friend is someone you trust
Who’s not just a yes but a must
Someone that you can talk to
That will help you get through
The hard times when you’ve lost track
Who always has your back
Who knows who you are
Who doesn’t care if your broke or have a car
Who is real
Not just someone who’s trying to make a deal
Friends are the ones who encourage us in life
Who are the ones that make us strive
The ones who really matter to us
Who would be by our side and not even flinch to make a fuss
Good friends are forever
Who are the last to say never
Because I’ve got a friend in me
Who will never flee
Who will always see
The real me

The Unwanted Book

A wrinkled up beat up torn book laid upon a table at a bookstore

No one would even notice if it slipped and disappeared onto the hard dark floor

Burnt edges of this mysterious book was shown

It’s story and words were unknown

For no one had read this book for it was alone

Almost as dead as a dried up bone

It’s title imprinted was quite small

It just waited quietly for its call

But then one day a curious boy gazed at this beat up book with wonder

The store keeper looked at the kid as if he made a blunder

The little boy picked up the book and asked, “Why is this book called the unwanted book? ”

The store keeper just smiled and said, “Because the book feels unwanted, not even one person has cared to take a look. ”

“But sir why does no one care to read this book? ”

“Because they judge this book by its cover and it’s torn up pages.

It seems as though no one had read this for ages. ”

“But sir the book is perfect and shiny and light. ”

“That is because you believe there is more then what lies from its site. ”

The kid gave a bright smile and asked one last question, “How much does this book cost?”

“It doesn’t have a specific cost. It’s value is on what you believe it cost. ”

At first the kid looked at him as though he was lost but then he rummaged through his pockets and found his only gold coin.

“This is all I have is this gold coin. ”

The store keeper just smiled again and said, “This book has quite a history and there is much more this book has to offer. I promise you that.”

The young boy grabbed his book and ran out of the store so fast that he almost dropped his hat.

He opened the first page and what fell out was something of amaze.

Gold coins fell from the book to the ground and all the boy could do is jump for praise.

I guess the lesson for today is to not judge a book by its cover

Because you’ll never know what you might discover
