Tears of joy
Tears running down from a young boy
Tears of laughter
Tears of what might happen after
Tears of sadness
Tears of anger that leads to madness
Tears of freedom
Tears for no reason
Tears of fear
Tears of knowing death is near
Tears of confrontation
Tears of intimidation
Because life brings us tears
It can be the trigger to our fears
Or it can be the result of our satisfaction
For tears are the reactions of our actions

There we stand tipping our toes into foreign water
Fear rises within us as our legs begin to totter
But there in the distance was Jesus walking across the sea
Didn’t matter the impossible, you knew where you needed to be
In that moment you witness a miracle
That questions all your principals
But when you see God’s work you finally start to believe
And wondered how could you of been so naive
But when you tried too hard to understand and think
That’s when you start to sink
And yell
For help so that we may dwell
On Jesus
So that we may not fall into pieces
But God will lift us up when we fall
And pick us up so that we may stand tall
So that we may not totter
But when we have faith we can walk on water

Hate is such a vile word
Poison of words we wish we never heard
Yet it’s so easy to unveil
But will always leave behind a trail
So why do we hate?
Do we really believe we have the power of our own fate?
Do we really have to go into a debate?
Yet we put ourselves first
And treat others at their worst
Sometimes we believe we do it in the name of God
But in reality we’re just a fraud
That God never intended us to fight for him
But intended to love and become the change for him
That by showing love instead of hate brings a stronger message towards others
That we are all truly sisters and brothers
That in a world of all this hate
There is still love that we can create

Our culture teaches us that money and possessions will bring happiness
That honor and pride will replace forgiveness
We are told that we can’t accomplish something
Told that we are nothing
Or maybe we are the fault and believe we deserve more
That we complain that they are rich and we are poor
That we worry about being greater
And forget about the true creator
That taught us that humility is greater than pride
That being honest is greater than having something to hide
That instead of thinking of what you deserve
Think instead of how you can serve
Of how you can be the change
Even if others look at you as though you are strange
Because our God is greater
Our God is higher
Than any other

Remembering the day we first met
The moment our eyes set
From our first date to the day I would kneel
That love suddenly became real
That when I said I do
I choose to only love you
Every moment we have I shall cherish
That our love will never perish
That we will grow old together
Because my heart will be yours forever
That I will always be by your side, your defender
For this is an anniversary to remember

I will always care
I will always be there
I will always be by your side
I will always keep your secrets, you will have nothing to hide
I will always listen
I will always look for you when you go missing
I will always try
I will always hate saying goodbyes
I will always love you
I will always be true
Because I will never say never
When me and you will always love each other now and forever

Without you I am nothing
But with your power you can make nothing become something
Without you we would not be free
But with your sacrifice we are able to be anything we want to be
Without you we would be lost
But with your grace you cleared out our debt, no matter the cost
Without you we would not live
But with your generosity we may live because you always give
Without you I could not live on this earth
But with your love you created man in your own image, your the reason of my birth
Without you we would not exist
But you always persist
Because without you we are nothing
But with you we are now something

Trust, the most expensive thing of all
It’s that moment when we rely on someone to catch us when we fall
That trust takes years to gain
But a few seconds to loose trust which becomes a new kind of pain
That we must be careful on who we trust
But when you meet the right people trust becomes a must
That we put our life in someone else’s hands
A friend that finally understands
But make sure you don’t trust so easily
Instead let them earn that trust so that you can live life more peacefully
Because in life we always need someone to count on
Someone to lean on
Someone to depend on
Because trust comes with a cost
So be responsible with it because without it we are lost

I surrender it all to you, oh Lord
That by your grace our life is restored
That I put my trust in you, oh Lord
Even in tough times when money is scarce, a future we wish we could afford
That I would give you my heart, oh Lord
Even when we feel lonely and ignored
That I want to listen to your message, oh Lord
Because there is no greater message than the voice that you have moved us toward
That I want to get rid of all my selfish ways, oh Lord
Because I know that your sacrifice is our greatest reward
That I want to make a difference, oh Lord
Because there is so much that I have not explored
That I give everything to you, oh Lord
For I surrender all to a God that I have always adored

There on the cross
Hung Jesus Christ, staring at the world that was lost
For freedom comes with a cost
That his blood shed on the cross so that we may be free from the shakles of sin
That Jesus didn’t just die but he rose again
That by his grace… we are free
We are free to be whatever we want to be
That Jesus yelled, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do”
“It is finished,” with those last words we are born brand new
We are given a second chance
That in heaven we will rejoice and dance
For Jesus was nailed to a cross
So that his blood would pay for our cost
