What if I take a chance on trying to study for a test so I can be smarter?
But what if I fail and the material just gets even harder?
What if I push myself too loose weight?
But what if I loose control on what I ate?
What if I have a chance to ask this girl out?
But what if I mess up and it takes us in a different route?
What if I am able to get a better job?
But what if the job goes to Bob?
What if I am able to make a change?
But what if others think different of me and think I am strange?
Why do I live with “what if’s” in my life?
It’s a constant battle of agreement and strife
It’s what causes us to blame
It’s what causes us to be in shame
Of who we are?
But we will never travel far
If we never let go of that fear
That God is always near
That we can become whoever we want to be
If we set ourselves free

The Monster Inside
What is this voice inside?
A side of me that I wish I could hide
That unleashes a monster within me
That allows others to see
A part of me that I never wanted to be
But when you hold back on the things that really matter
That’s when you slip off that latter
That’s when you speak of words that you should not
That’s when words destroy the friendships we got
Because we should never build up on hate
That eventually we will become vulnerable like a plate
That will break
That will put our life at stake
That the best solution is to forgive and to forget
Instead of becoming that threat
That there won’t be no reason to hide
That monster inside
How to Let Go of Pain
At times I feel like life has no meaning
That maybe I’ll just wake up from dreaming
My sorrows away
How can I survive this day?
How can this pain go away?
When there is no cure to this pain
When there is nothing to gain
But hate and suffering
That there’s no recovering
That I am at my lowest point
That there is no more strength in my joints
That I loose hope
That it feels like there’s nothing I can cope
But sometimes when we hit our lows
That’s when we experience how God’s love really shows
Because when we are lost
God is always there to clean the cost
To help us through this pain
Because when we experience God’s love there will always be something to gain
How to Mend a Broken Heart
When a heart is broken
And no answers have been spoken
A part of you becomes lost
Not knowing what roads you have crossed
That love seems hopeless
That our mind can’t focus
On the things that matter
That our heart feels like it’s going to shatter
That we start to question the words that have been spoken
How do we mend a heart that is already broken?
How do we shape it to something of beauty?
How do let others know that love is not just a duty?
That love is a privilege
That it forms an image
Of hope in each one of our lives
So that we may someday be husbands and wives
And that’s how you mend a broken heart
So that the two you will never fall apart
Do Not Fear
Fear…
Is not just something we can feel or hear
But it’s something that holds us back
From the reality that keeps us on track
From making something simple seem impossible
From being scared to being irresponsible
Fear is what controls our emotions
It’s that spark that results into an explosion
Because when you let fear have its way
It will eat your life away
And time will be the price you will have to pay
So do not fear
Because God is always near
Who will always be there for every step we take
For every decision we make
Because life without fear is a must
For we have a God we can trust
The Wolf’s Cry
Can you hear the wolf’s cry?
Yet it has no tear in its eye
We see it as music but he feels it as pain
When he cries it begins to rain
He is all alone not having anywhere to call his home
Having to roam
For food and water
Hide in the shade because the days were getting hotter
The memories of his mother still lingers in his mind
Knowing that she was always behind
Him even though she was physically gone
Sacraficed her life to protect him from a bullet that was drawn
That he wails a song in remembrance of her
And searches for the hunters that murdered her for fur
So he cries every night
He howls with all his might
So that his pain will be known
That he will never be alone
That he will never have to hide
Because his mother will always be by his side
For this is not his last goodbye
For this is the the song of the wolf’s cry
Be Yourself
Why be someone else when you can be yourself
Why live in the dark when you have the power to start a spark
Why tell lies when you can be wise
Why push others when they are truly our sisters and brothers
Why hate if we all have the same fate
Why sow when we have the power too let go
Why be ordinary when we have the choice to be extraordinary
Then why do I choose to do wrong
It’s because we have developed a need of knowing where we belong
Wanting to be someone else
When in reality your better off being yourself
Inspiration
To be an inspiration
You first have to have dedication
And innovation
For a result of transformation
You can’t just live up to everyone’s expectation
Instead you have to let go of any situation
And let go of any limitation
That’s holding you back from being that motivation
So that people can see your determination
So that people can witness your dedication
So that you can build up your reputation
To inspire this new generation
So that they can have a positive vibration
So that they may also one day be that inspiration
A Dream Come True
If it was only a dream
Than how does it seem
That there’s more meaning behind our sleep
That we have to choose if we’re going to take that leap
Or if we’re going to be a sheep
Lost without a sheppard
And as sick as a leper
Until we finally start to believe
In the person who use to be niave
Who’s now changed by a simple dream
Accomplished only by a team
Because it’s a dream come true
That the only person who can make dreams possible is you
Letting Go
How do we let go of something that we have longed for?
When our heart pushes us towards something that makes us want more
That sometimes the things we want aren’t the things we need
That our life starts out as a simple seed
That eventually sprouts into a complex tree
So that the whole world may see
Of what we always wanted to be
But the only way to grow
Is by learning how to let go
On the things we don’t need
That strangles our plant like a weed
That it hurts our plants growth
From the responsibility of our oath
An oath to be the best we can possibly be
So that we can be free
From the things that hold us back
So that we can keep ourselves on track
