I Don’t Want to Die Alone

If we live alone
We will surely die alone
But when we live with the ones we love
Death will be nothing but a little shove
I tell you my son, do not die alone
Let your sympathy be shown
The young man gripping his fathers poor wildering hands had surely grown
Use to be such a young boy that would mischievously prone
Memories of his past flashing in his mind
Knowing that he was ready to leave this world behind
The clock was ticking and he was running out of time
This was his last branch that he could possibly climb
Before he could see the last sunset shine
But he knew that he would be just fine
His concern was the man on the other side
Who was all alone and had no one by his side
Not one human being was there for him if he died
Put him to tears to see another man have such a harsh ride
That inspired him to ask his son for a favor while he was still alive
Explaining how he would more likely not survive
So he better let everything out before he said his last good bye
To go give the other sick man something he did not have, someone to be by his side
That there would be nothing to hide
To not die alone
To let his sympathy be shown
Because no one should have to die alone
