Can you hear the wolf’s cry?
Yet it has no tear in its eye
We see it as music but he feels it as pain
When he cries it begins to rain
He is all alone not having anywhere to call his home
Having to roam
For food and water
Hide in the shade because the days were getting hotter
The memories of his mother still lingers in his mind
Knowing that she was always behind
Him even though she was physically gone
Sacraficed her life to protect him from a bullet that was drawn
That he wails a song in remembrance of her
And searches for the hunters that murdered her for fur
So he cries every night
He howls with all his might
So that his pain will be known
That he will never be alone
That he will never have to hide
Because his mother will always be by his side
For this is not his last goodbye
For this is the the song of the wolf’s cry
Beautiful work! Very moving.
